Regional Economic Development in Barbados (2008)

This short project was undertaken to investigate the structure of the economy in Barbados with emphasis on a systematic collection of company data and mapping the distribution of economic activities throughout the island. To the surprise of some stakeholders, the research revealed a vibrant pool of firms with specialisation in professional services, ICT, specialised trading services, international finance and insurance services, tourism services, public services, and a strong construction sector.
